If you mention room additions
to most homeowners, they assume this only includes adding on bedrooms, second
or third bathrooms, or other actual rooms in the home. In truth, though, many
home builders that offer room additions are happy to add on garages and other
storage spaces to the home. If you don’t currently have a garage attached to
your house, it’s definitely something to consider. Garages provide an excellent
way to keep your car safe from the effects of hail and strong winds, not to
mention from theft and vandalism.
What’s more is that garages add storage space—storage space
that’s often much-needed—to the home. And, garages can grow and change with you
and your family. If you end up having another child and need an extra bedroom
in a pinch or if you decide you’re ready for a family game room, garages can be
converted easily.
